The default answer to the question of true recovery measured would seem to me like ‘never’ due to perpetual (repeat prescription) drugging with no end date in sight. However, along the way one must learn and apply deprescription negotiation skills, unfortunately, since the odds are generally stacked against you for say your local GP or secondary care psychiatrist to turn around one day, have an epiphany and start the process of reducing your neurotoxic anti-something medication with a view to discontinuation when they love that classic half-truth of “let’s not rock the boat” in shutting down your concerns to maintain your lifelong (mis-) treatment.
